DOHC VTEC decal?

Been contemplating this a lot lately with the car being repainted because I've always been a little jeleous of civics that have the side DOHC VTEC decals. Wanting to know directly from 4g owners what they think about the decal since I have seen at least 1 pic of a RHD 4g with it on the side like the 99-00 civic Si has.

If the Decal is Genuine Honda, then why not, go for it. Do a photoshop first to see what it will look like.

I've always been torn on this too...more because I'd rather spend $20+ on something else, but I do like the way it looks on some cars. good luck?

Yeah I just don't know, if I do it'll probably be the 99-00 Civic Si decal that goes on the rear quarter panel, always liked those, just never see them like that on Prelude's.

Back in 1999 their were older cars that had SOHC engines so having a DOHC added to the wow factor of a car. Today people see DOHC and say so what. Also back in 1999, VTEC was kind of new had a bit of a wow factor to it but today its just OK thats nice what else do you have. The way people react to the symbols of the sticker your talking about is different today then it was back in 1999 which is one reason why I removed my DOHC VTEC sticker and replaced it with a ATTS sticker which is more in tune with the newer cars being built by Honda.Your decision whether or not to place that sticker on your car should take into consideration the fact that such a sticker will just give your car a dated look in my opinion.

^WTF are you talking about? VTEC was first introduced in 83, by 99 it was nothing new. Every post you make that I'm sure you try to take time to type up to try to appear like you know something is always false, go away.

Yeah...a sticker is what makes a car designed in 1992 look dated. GDIAF

I vote no stickers. They just add clutter to an otherwise clean car IMO. All my stickers have been removed, along with the hood emblem. The trunk emblem is the only part on the exterior of my car that's not black, and it's only still there because it's not worth it to me to shave the mounting holes and get the trunk lid repainted.

In the end though, it's your car. If you like the stickers, get them. If you don't like them you can always take them back off.

DOHC has been around since the 70's. True we might not have seen (or remember) many DOHC engines in the 80's. However by the 90's it was almost standard. Heck, I got my tailpipe handed to me by a Saturn w/ DOHC. I was in a older Celica.

I know this is not a Prelude! I wanted to show how I used black decals on the green so it would not stand out too much. You really have to look for it which is what I wanted.

Yeah I think I may go for it, was thinking one like the black prelude, the red one has got the old school style. I was gonna do it the same way, half on door and other half on rear quarter. I feel like some market came that way factory cause I've seen pics of them but not sure.

that EDM rear lip is giving me a boner.

Yeah the decals look good, go for it. Who cares if something is dated or not. This is not the point. The key is collectability and representation.

Fawk being dated or not. Who fawking cares lol.
