DOH! Just started doing the swap P2W HELP!

..yo dude I have a couple of last minute questions, I already started to remove the engine i disconnected all the vaccum hoses, and removed the ground, and all the small stuff, i am using the Helms manual to remove it but, i have 1 question Lets say I havta move my car for whatever reason, after the engine has been pulled, will I be able to steer it and brake, or I can't steer the car and I can only use the E-brake... I need an answer ASAP before i finish, b/c my driveway is on a hill, a downwards slope...and if i havta roll it down i wanna know if i can control it...

One more thing what's the proper procedure to relieve the fuel pressure in the fuel rail when i disconnect the fuel rail... I don't understand what Helms is saying and I don't wanna listen to my boyz b/c Its mu engine and i don't wanna screw anything up, so yo anyhelp would be great!!!

Jose

I'm not P2W but I can help you with this one. You will still be able to steer the car and you will also be able to use the brake. The proper procedure to relieve the fuel pressure is to take the gas cap off of the tank and then loosen the small(Ithink it is 10mm) bolt that is on top of the bigger bolt that is attached to the fuel filter. Hope that helps for you!

..hmm so you are saying that i havta open the gas cap (where I put gas in?) ok, hmm i never noticed the 10mm bolt on top of the bigger bolf before attached to the fuel filter... but i'll check it out when its light out, ok so after that its going to be safe to remove the fuel injectors and disconnect the fuel rail w/o gas squirting everywhere???

Thanks a lot guys for your help!!

If I need anymore, which I know I am, I mos def gonna ask either one of you....

Thanks,
Jose

ok let me clear up everything maye i confused you with my stupidity, OK..

I wanted to unscrew the 10 screws that hold the headers to the head, b/c when I got my cat removed and 2.5 piping my guy welded it straight onto the flex pipe, so i can't take it off by disoconnecting the bolts that hold it to the cat b/c there aren't any more, so I wanted to unscrew the bolts that connect to the downpipe so i can just remove the top half not thinking that i had already removed the bolts holding the header to the engine. I wasn't thinking I should've just unscrewed the bottom bolts from the downpipe instead of doing all that work but its too late now I guess its all off, I am about to go out and start working on it again... I ran into a lil problem yesterday tho, I couldn't find the Cltutch slave thingie as described in the pic, in my Helms manual I unscrewed the bolts and my shifter was all wobbly but I just wanted to make sure is that all i had to do? nothing else i didn't have to remove anything else right?? anyways sorry for the confusion and thanks for all the help bro..
By the way loos like you're coming along good dude, I envy you I wish I had air tools grrr my forearm is killing me!!

BTW - My friend might not pull the through with what he calls a "cherry picker" (engine hoist) how much is it to rent one and how big is it, will it fit in a Prelude??

ooo ok i gotcha!

Egnine Hoists are cheap, but useless to buy if your not going to do many swaps.. Renting, i'm not sure... go tou your local automive part store and ask... you saw the one we using and its quite large (3000 lbs weight limit!!) and it fit just fine...

the engine is like 500lbs or so. If you go to an auto parts store and tell them you need to rent an engine hoist, what ever one they give you should be fine 1k lbs weight limit is what i think they are... Our was to pull those HUGE desil truck engine from semis and stuff..
