Its fairly difficult to expierience oversteer in a front wheel drive car. However I do know that camber does increases readings on the skidpad, so it would most likely decrease understeer.

Hmm......I guess it would depend on which corners have more negative camber. Because I think abit of negative camber is good for the turns, it helps keep the tires more flat on the ground in the curves. So I assume that if you have more negative camber in the front it would cause oversteering, and more in the back would cause understeer?? I am not sure though, thats only what I think, haha.

Try this sometime:

1: Get your car into a nice 4-wheel slide around a corner (A corner with lots of runoff room or a parking lot would be best )

2: Let off the gas quickly and hold the same steering input

3: Enjoy your oversteer!!

i went to the autocross a couple of weeks ago running on stock tires and oh my goodness the understeer is unbelievable. i was still able to pull some good times but i'm changing tires very soon.

i was thinking that if i keep the rear tires crappy it might assist in oversteering the car while using the e-brake combination. i've gotten used to using the e-brake to whip out the rear on a lot of different corners so i might actually try this technique in autocross and see if i get better results.

Oversteer

Oversteer and a 4 wheel drift aren't the same thing

More negative camber in the front tires than the rears will give you more oversteer.

My car understeers like a ***** (but that's because I'm having some suspension problems). If you want more over steer, get a bigger rear sway bar and stiffen up your rear shock absorbers.

Tire pressure is important too, but it's arguable. MOST fwd drivers like higher psi up front and less in the rear. But "vwong" does the exact opposite and he likes it.

Letting off the throttle completely would cause your car to oversteer. I wouldn't use any ebrake in a run, I think that'll only slow your time down. Ebrake = some sliding. Sliding loses time.
