Can someone try this?!... if VTEC Neuspeed Strut bars fit Si models??

Please someone help me with this question...

I like the Shape of the VTEC neuspeed Strut bar more than the one made for the Si Model, but I was wondering if the VTEC ones fit on the Si models? aren't the mountings for the bars the same? Please advise!

Looks like Grant from HP.com was the ONLY guy with a pic of the VTEC Neuspeed strut bar on his Si Model. Thank you Grant! haha I think the VTEC Strut bars look a whole lot better than the Si ones!

the VTEC bar (on an S model):

the Si Bar:

I just like how the VTEC bar has more clearance and has a more spider shape than just a triangular angle from the main bar. But again... to each's own..

yeah, i agree with u, i think im gonna get a vtec model bar for my si, but my i have a color scheme under the hood, everthing is posished with red accents. how hard would it be to change the yellow neuspeed to red lettering? i dont think this will work by just covering it up... http://www.nopionline.com/index.cfm?...rt%20Number%20'EM820'

what would u recomend?

the yellow lettering is actually a sticker.. you can peel that off and put your own red neuspeed sticker.

just to clear things up, the SI and vtec bars are interchangeable. if your doing an engine swap you can still use the SI bar, it doesnt block the oil cap like everyone says.

I thought the Si bar wouldn't clear the VTEC head and that was why they made a VTEC bar too...

All the strut bar fit each other... s, si and vtec. The problem with the VTEC is not the head clearance but the oil cap. On a h22a, the oil cap sits further back towards the firewall and some strut bar hover directly over that. Let's just say its just safer to buy a VTEC bar ...

To clear things up the SI bar doesn't clear the external igntion coil (especially when you have a bigger boot from an aftermarket wire plugged in..

It's a chrome Neuspeed strut bar. Never been installed since I got it for Christmas, but my car's been in the garage for about a year, awaiting an H22 swap. I'll try and see if I can move the coil around and if the bar still doesn't fit, I'll post it up.

Wouldn't the Si bar with less clearance be more rigid.

You could have asked if you wanted a pic. I know a vtec bar fits a Si because I have a vtec bar.
