This guy wants to race my rsx and says he's got a 96' vtec prelude. He said it's an auto.

I wasn't sure if there were really vtec autos or it's really a SI and he doesn't know it.

nope, not in the US market for sure. i dont know if there ever was a jdm auto vtec or not tho.

There was a member here with a h22 auto. The auto vtecs were never offered in the states for 4th gens. If he claims he has a auto vtec why not race him find out or just have him pop his hood.

LOL. Thanks, I didn't think it sounded right. I asked him if it was an 2.3 non vtec. He told me it has vtec on it

ask him how many speakers he's got in his rear. vtecs came with a third in the middle of the seats.

vtec says vtec right on the motor
why have all these trickery to figure it out
just look at the motor!
doesn't matter if he has a vtec motor swap or an auto tranny swap. If he has vtec then you would know looking at the motor.
