Is this fixable?

You can read the full story here

Realized there was alot of play on the camshaft pulley while I was trying to get it back in proper timing. Removed it and saw that the groove for the camshaft "key" had gotten larger and this is what was causing the car to get out of timing just slightly.

Would it be possible to have a machine shop fill in the part that got chipped away? Or am I gonna have to get a new camshaft altogether? I checked everything else and all seems fine. I have no freakin idea how this could have happened...crazy isht!

I'd put the key back in there, and weld the key in place...

should do the trick.
