When I worked at Honda, there was Del Sol VTEC that came in...

The dist siezed and ripped a bunch of teeth on the timing belt, stopping the cams and destroying the valves.

He said it had been making noise for about 2 months, he knew he had to replace it, he even bought a new dist. Just never got around to installing it.

I Just picked up a used one for 200bux CDN when i started getting a CEL.

The bearring went in mind, there was dust all inside my cap etc.

When I took it off the engine the end piece that goes against the cam was all wobbly and **** ... seriously wobbly like.. if the distrib ws held perfect like this -------------|
I could bend the end piece like this \ and this / without turning it.

Now, she's back to norm =) .. and for 200k on my H23 with an H22 planned.. why spend the extra 100bux cdn for a brand new one ?? ..
