distilled water and my radiator ???

i just barely realized my radiator has been leaking and the resevoir is now empty. i next day shipped a new replacement but need to get to work tomorrow....would it be ok to just top it off with distilled water....or should i go make a mix with coolant???

and i'm told by a friend that i should get coolant from honda and not from my local auto parts store because it could cause damage.....is this true????

umm is your water still green?

and i don't remember non-honda brands of anti-freeze causing problems.

yea whats left of it is still green...

and i dont think i've ever bought honda brand anti freeze, i dont see either why this would cause problems.....

can i just top it off why distilled water or should i run to the local auto store???

I seem to remember I had a non-honda before and just ran straight water through it all the time with no problems. I think if you just topped it off to go to work and back you should be fine.

well, if it was me i'd make a run to get premix, but that's just because i'd never quit thinking about it. that's what i use for top off (mine leaks all the time).

no...i just plan on getting to work, and a couple hours later i should receive the new radiator...which means i will be flushing it anyways....thanks for the input guys
