Disconnecting brake lamp light

Hi, my brake lamp light keeps coming on even though all my lights work properly. Is there a plug somewhere under my hood I can disconnect to turn that bulb off?

I wouldn't disconnect anything to get it to stay off. What happens if your brake lights go out? The POPO don't like burnt bulbs. I got pulled over Monday for a brake light out.

yeah but if the light is going to be on anyways, why not disconect it? You wont be able to know if its another problem because the light would already be on.

Do what you like... I would fix what is wrong. Probably a cheaper fix to replace the bulbs.

I just fixed this problem today! Make sure you have the EXACT bulbs in there. I had some special led bulb thingies and even know they work perfect the brake lamp on the dash would still be on. Its something to do with the voltage or something like that. Once I put in #3496 tail light bulbs (oem #), all my problems went away.

I removed my high-mounted brake lamp....and that light is beginning to upset me. I was also planning on switching to LEDs in the taillights, and so disconnecting the dash light would be useful...is it anywhere in Helms manual? I see circuit diagrams, but i suspect that if i disconnect something, ALL the dash lights will go out...
