dipstick...?

question.. are the dipsticks on the h23 and h22 different? i changed my oil today and poured 4+ 1/4th bottle of oil in, when i checked the dipstick it was bearly at the fisrt notch. No oil is leaking, i checked and rechecked. oils going in fine.. but uhm.. where's it going? car drives fine too, aside from my regular o2 sensor engine light, no oil light..

The oil light won't come on until your oil pressure drops below 5psi(that's catastrophic engine failure time) so I wouldn't go on that alone. You might have the problem I did for a while in that the rubber seal thing on the dipstick wasn't lining up right and I didn't put it all the way in.

from another prelude of the same engine as you...whats the use of getting a dipstick w/ a chrome tip? lol..unless your ride has got a show engine, which is fine in that case to snag one.

Did you change your oil filter? The oil capacity is about 5 quarts, I think you just didn't add enough oil to bring it up to the middle of the dipstick.

put 5 quarts then, a little more oil is not that bad, compare to not enough oil.
