Digital Odometer not displaying
Has anybody ran into this before? I've done a lot of searching, but always came up short.
I have a '94 vtec. The odometer hasn't worked for the three years I've owned it. Sometimes it will come on and display 99 and sometimes it will come on and display 100. In my three years of owning it, I've seen it display one of these numbers about 6 or so times. Otherwise, it's just blank. Also, although it hasn't happened recently, the tachometer will jump up and down. Speedometer and all the other gauges on the cluster work fine. Tachometer hasn't given me an issue for about half a year now though.
My question. Would putting a new gauge cluster in that has a known working odometer fix my issue? When you swap it, do you get the mileage reading from the car that it came off of? Just want to be able to monitor mileage for maintenance. Currently, I just use a GPS to track it.
