different hesitation

I've seen replies for general hesitation, but none for this...

The 92 si has hesitated for awhile now. It ONLY hesitates from 500-2000 RPM; never higher. After 2000, it is perfectly fine.

As far as fuel/air maintenance, it is all completed.

Who would guess something along the lines of a vacuum leak?

I am open to many suggestions, as it is entirely annoying.

Thanx, I hope you will all help me as I help you...

check out your EGR system, this is typically to fault for 2000 and below (honda claims 1500rpms is the telltale) rpm hesitation/drivability problems.

it's right on the intake manifold with a hose coming off it, take it off and clean it, i also poured some carb cleaner down the ports in the manifold to ungum some stuff

OK...

I cleaned the EGR and the hesitation doesn't seem AS strong, but definitely still there under ~2k.

I am going to adjust my valves as soon as I have a few minutes to do so.

I am not sure if they are the problem, because I was thinking about it and wouldn't it be more of a hesitation through all RPM's if the valves were the cause?

I would like more suggestions, if there are any out there.

Thanx for your help again
