Anyone know where to get the back windsheild wiper. I can really use it here in VA. Damn dew.
As I said before, 4WS stopped production in 1994 and as illusion said, 4WS never came through on VTEC models - only Si's.

Some people have done a VTEC swap in their 4WS model but it requires more than just popping a VTEC engine in the car. You have to find a JDM ECU from a 4WS VTEC model Prelude. Without this, the car would not recognize the 4WS mechanism and it would be inactive.

I'll tell you from personal experience that I really don't feel that much difference between a 4WS Prelude and another. I previously had a 93 4WS Si and it was cool to show and tell people that I had 4WS but it really didn't make that much of a difference. My turning radius was slightly smaller but that was about it. Once I lowered my VTEC model and installed my strut bars, the car outperformed the 4WS model in every aspect.

You won't be disappointed with any VTEC model, but if you are planning on performing any modifications to the car at all, go with a 94-95. If you plan to just use it as a means of transportation then a 96 would sufice. If at all possible test drive one if you can find one. If you are ever in Jersey you could difinitely take mine for a spin and see for yourself.

Mark

Absolut has a 93si 4ws with a jdm h22. If you go this way your car will have 10 more hp.

To each his own. No sake in
There was a "Prelude Type R" only it was called the Type S. That was the point of the comment about knowing the history of the Prelude. In Japan they released a 5th gen Prelude that was worked over like the Integra Type R and it was badged the Prelude Type S. It had 220 HP and there was quite a few differences in it compared to the USDM Preludes. It had better cams, a bigger throttle body, different intake setup, limited slip differential to name a few.

A Prelude with Type R badges does look stupid to anyone who knows anything about Preludes... as would a USDM car with Type S badges... unless maybe it was done up with all the Type S equipment , then it would be more justified.

I got a question, Did any VTEC's come with cloth seats??

I was under the inpression that VTEC came with leather only??

There is a kid at my school, with a black 'Lude that says "DOHC VTEC" on the back, the same sticker that comes with VTEC models. I check the interior, and he has cloth seats, it was a 93 if that helps.

I looked through this entire post a couple times and couldnt find anything. Thanks.

-----------------------------------------------------

OOPS. I just read what Mark94 posted, he says that leather was not even an option in 93. Sorry, if anyone still cares to comment that would be nice.

dont trust those stickers, lol

dealers sell "VTEC" and other stickers that people can stick on the car. only way to really tell if its VTEC is to look under the hood or on the ID tags on the inside portion of the doors
