Differences between obd1 h23a and obd2 h23a? - Honda Prelude Forum

Hey guys i just signed up to this site because i need some help on my 96 Prelude si. It has a h23A engine with automatic transmission and im going to change out the complete long-block because my motor has a big hole on the block with the connection rod sticking out.. I already started searching for a h23a motor but have only been finding motors from 92-94 preludes which im guessing are obd1. And my car is obd2. So my question is, what will i need to swap out to make a obd1 h23a work on my obd2 prelude without any check engine lights? Do I have to swap out the distributors? Any sensors? Thanks a lot for the input

^basically.

You can either find a obd2 h23a1 (which is hard), look at the 5th gen forums for obd2 to obd1 conversions, or just find a block and swap it out all the parts, I am pretty sure the blocks are all the same (hardest to do).

Yea I haven't been able to find an obd2 h23.. But I'll check the 5th gen forums like u said. Thanks bro
