Today this civic pulled up next to me and it is a local guy that I know. We were talking through the light and we hit it when the light turned green. I squeeled my tires on first and chirped them going into second and I couldn't believe it. I drive an auto. I beat his A$$ but that isn't the point. I was so happy that I squeked em I about had to pull over. I never really get on the car so I was impressed. I pulled over to talk to the guy and I waved him over, but he just kept on driving. I want a manual. I am glad the guy didn't have any mods!
Dude, I have a 95 SI auto. Intake and exhaust only. It haulls. I bark em' hard in second. I can hang with some Civic si's and some tegs. VW's don't stand a chance. I love my SI.
Just because it's an auto, doesn't mean it won't break. Be careful.

I am spending about 1500 in the next two weeks on my car. I am thinking, "screw the savings and get a loan!" Then I can do it all at once. I can't wait for the day!

If you don't have a car payment. My friend did that with his 89 hatch...$10k 24 month personal loan for building...Keep the savings for other things or problems...
It is nice to work for the bank. I get discounted rates on auto loans. I am looking at 2% for up to 48 months! Might just have to do that! My car is paid off!
I lost the chirping 3rd when I got rims with better tires.
Dunlop SP5000(215/50/15), RPS Turbo Carbo Claw(St.III)/lightened flywheel. Believe me, I can't always bark 4th, but can chirp 3rd shifting at 6000. 2nd of course is a no-brainer...I wish it didn't spin as much into 2nd because I lose momentum when I shift hard, and it steals a tenth or 2 from my 1/8 mile time.
