Diagnostic scanner

Hi,
I have a 1995 (N reg) Prelude and my engine warning light has started coming on in the mornings on my drive to work (usually after about 15 mins driving), but then it is not on again the next time I start it, and sometimes I can do a whole journey without it coming on.

I am thinking of buying a diagnostic scanner to do it myself but wondered if anybody knew a good scanner and one that will be compatible with my 95 Lude?

Thank you.

You don't need a scanner

Here's how to pull the code: DIY: Diagnose Check Engine Lights 4th gen Prelude - Honda-Tech
