decison of header or exhaust....

i already have custom made my own intake...now i either want new headers or new exhaust (knowing i can't make either of them...i figured id buy one premade =)) ive made a decision of what brand i would buy if i would choose each one. if i get the headers, it would be a DC Sports SS header. for the exhaust, it would be a thermal r&d. i dont know which would be best to aquire first. installing is not a problem, so no basis of difficulty to install is being put into the decision....i just dont know which one to get first. im guessin ill see more gains from the header than the exhaust......any imput is appreciated.

i don't know what gains you can get from a header... i still need to get one myself. I'd guess that you'd notice the overall change in the car more with the exhaust, not for power, but for sound and cosmetics.

I have a Thermal R&D stealth system for my 95 VTEC. It is a bit on the loud side when you take your foot off the gas and from 2800 to 4000 RPM when accelerating. It's a good sound though. Not at all raspy or "can of bumble bees." It's a smooth, deep sound.

I paid darn near $600 for my exhaust if I recall... it's been a while and I didn't keep the reciept. then again I spent $80 in gas to drive to pick it up... it'll fit in the trunk, ask how I know. If that is the going price then you'd not spend as much going with the header. I'd think you should find it for under $350.
