dc2lude: My project nearly complete...

Just a few teaser pix of my prelude. I will be pulling the motor this week to get the car ready for paint. I am doing a full color change. I have had the headlights on for about 10 months now, but i am finally getting around to finishing up everything else. Let me know what you think. The color finale color will be blue.

Yes they are jdm integra lights. Not accord. Yea i have had them over a year, but no time to work on it. I finally freed up the time. I got the chrome housing, because of the paint i am going to be using. If you want a picture of them with the stock front bumper i will get some pictures. They fit really well with the stock bumper, but it needs modified to make it look really good. As far as the overall conversion its pretty basic, just a little material needes to be cut out and mounts for the lights modified. the fenders also have to be modified.

Yes, definitly post a pic with the stock bumper in place. Will you be using the stock front, or a body kit piece? Are you going to modify the stock front to fit perfect, or will it "be good enough" for your liking?

Looks good so far, Can't wait to see finished product. ~ Brett

Very nice conversion. Your car looks like the color of mine, Azure Blue Green Pearl. I think it will look awesome in blue. I'm also repainting mine next year, cause I don't like the color either.

Actually the color of mine is bbgm, it is britney blue green metallic. The color i am going to be painting it is a very unique blue color, it will be 100% original. Well as close as i can get. I will be using a body kit front bumper, it is the big mouth, but i will also modify the stock front so i can have an extra bumper, and I love the orginal stock bumper and jdm yellow fogs. I will take more pictures after i pull my motor this week, and show you how the headlights fit under the hood, and what i had to cut on the car to make them fit.

i think the JDM ITR C-West front bumper looks wicked. I know its a bit played, but it is hot.

Progress as promise.

So far this weekend i got the intire interior pulled except the dash and the carpet. And i got the motor out. Here are some pictures. that last couple pictures are of my wifes car, the red one. My buddys car the gold one, and my beater the gray one. they are all VTEC! it took us about 2 1/2 hours to get the motor out.

It looks like it's really coming along. That is a massive project you've taken on. I would like to do the same thing next summer but I don't have that much mechanical experience. There is something about taking my entire car apart that scares me, mainly the fear of not being able to put it back together. I would imagine you're painting the entire engine bay since you pulled out the engine right?

Keep up the good work and post pics on your progress.
