DC header to stock downpipe

I have the dc 4-2-1 ceramic header i was going to install. Curious if I will get gains using the headers to the stock downpipe? or if i should try to get a dc downpipe or will other brand downpipes fit as well? . Any tips appreciated.

You honestly won't gain much unless you modify the b pipe to 2.5"

True. It should also be noted that any worthy muffler shop should be able to perform this mod completely.

Currently the car has

KNN Air INtake
High flow Cat
2.5 custom exhaust
Magnaflow dual tips
+ADDING DC SPORT 4-2-1 HEADERS

Im more concerned if this header will show any gains on a stock downpipe or if i should get a dc downpipe or something? Id like to know what is better or similar. I know it can be hooked up; im wondering if it will even show ANYTHING or if stock downpipe should be changed .Any tips appreciated?

If you want gains, i would look elsewhere than the DC.

b pipe = downpipe. I just don't like the terminology.

There are plenty of copy cats of higher end headers (even though I would really suggest you get the real ones since it's helping out the real companies who did research)

So i should swap out the stock exhaust for a 2.5 inch downpipe... Might as well just have it done custom by the muffler shop i guess.... hope its not too much.... I cant see buying a header and a downpipe togather when i already have the header....

not exhaust i meant downpipe... 2.5' should give me better results vs stock? ive looked around i heard stock downpipe is better with header on low/mid range.... a 2.5' downpipe with header would be better top end gain? let me know if yall agree with this

I would agree with this. My previous car was all stock and had much more low end than my current lude which has DC header and exhaust. They came on the car. Dont let people say dc isnt better than stock, it is. Whether or not its better than a mugen head or other nicer brand, I cant say but its still nice and sounds very good.

also wanted to mention:

I dont know how common it is or not but all my exhaust/muffler/header are all bolt on. I definitely could have done it myself with a jack and some stands. No welding at all. (I bring this up because i think some mufflers and systems out there require welding. Once i brought my crx to a muffler shop and they offered to cut my old one off and weld on a magnaflow pipe or something. I would only ever want a bolt on system that was designed for that engine even if the muffler weld on job was cheaper)

Wait what??? You can't see buying a Header and Downpipe together?? How else do they come?

And "So i should swap out the stock exhaust for a 2.5 inch downpipe" -- But you said you already have a 2.5" Exhast. Not stock exhaust.

I think we need some pictures in here so we can clarify who's talking about what.. Because stuff isn't making sense..

1) You can't compare two different cars, so your opinion is negatted.

2) Any one that says that a DC Sports' Header isn't significantly better than stock is correct. You're basically replacing the stock header for appearance.. You're not going to see much, if any gains from a DC Header.
So if you do not know, do not comment like you do. And Sounds?? Frick, it's a header, we're not looking for sounds.

lol, You think all bolt on system's are designed for a specific engine? They're designed to fit, yea, but that's normally going to be about it. That's why almost every companies exhausts' use the same exact piping, mufflers, resonators, etc..

Also, a welded exhaust will be better because, one, less places where it could leak from, and two, you don't have to worry about changing gaskets..

A custom/welded exhaust can be made to fit better than a bolt on system also.
