Day off so i spent a few hours working on the lude

First of all i needed some new brake lights and turn signals. SO i went down to my local shop. I got some basic bright bulbs witht he blue tint. Nothing exciting. I needed brake lights caus the LED's i have been using for the past year are dimm and alot of people ***** at me about it. The i got some Fron Turn signals to replace the red ones i have been using. The Cops dont like them and i dont wana get pulled over and get nailed for not having a cat.

Got those in and decided to finally install my rear tower bar. Good that only took me like 6 months to install.

While i was at the shop there was a set of energy inserts calling me name. I couldnt resist. SO i installed the front and ill install the rear when i do my new tranny. The insert fit well and took me like 15 mins to install, woulda been faster but i put them in upside down. haha

I had been leaking a little oil and it looked like it was coming from my Vtec pressure switch so i removed it and found that the filter had moved out of position so i fixed that and hopefully the leak.

Still didnt feel like being done. SO i pulled out a saw and cut some notches in the hole where the intake comes in and opened that up to about 3x what it was. Now my Short ram should get a little more air.

Ohh also i noticed the little sleeve on the lower radiator hose had moved up a little and my clutch sylonoid think had almost cut thru my hose. SO i moved that back into position.

So ill test it out in a little bit. And ill get back to you with some results

Energy Motor mount inserts.
They were 40$, they only had the black ones. But the black ones supposedly have graphite in them and squeek less.

Lucke, i dont even remember putting in the fronts on your car. I remember the back. That was a pain.

still not convinced. I definately have more vibration. Im thinking i should raise my idle to 800-900 insted of 500.

But what im really feeling is the rear strut bar right now. I can definately feel that. I can feel much more of the road in the rear now.

Ok, that rear strut bar helped, i hit a turn i hit every day adn try to break the rear end loose, and it did, felt really smooth. I Like it. All i need is a Lower sway bar and we will be in business.

As for the Energy Motor mount insert, its definately causing more vibration, but it feels much smoother when i shift and launch. Im sure it will be killer after i put in the rear one.

ohhh you'll feel it when you put the rear one in....i'm [--] that close to taking it out, i'm so sick of that damn vibration, my whole frikkin dash RATTLES now. i'll gonna try my luck with some dampening material first to see if that reduce vibration.

If your car is not in tune your car will vibrate a LOT more. I just recently did my timing belt and the vibrations before/after were night/day. The car does not shake like it used to, in fact, I doubt passengers could even tell it vibrated more than stock if I did not tell them. Just something to think about.

there's got to be more to it then just that because i just replaced my timing/balance belts fewer than 5k miles ago w/ valve adjustment; however, I could try to adjust the timing again. i've noticed that when the car is cold it'll vibrate more at idle than when i come back out during lunch and it's warmer (engine still a little warm). It's just the chirps and crap from the dash that drive me INSANE.
