dashboard lights?

i have a '94 si. i was wondering if i have burnt out lights...

1)on the left side of the steering wheel, are the roof, cruise, and dim switch lights supposed to come on?

2)on the driver's side window button, is the auto marking supposed to be lit up?

3)by the ac controls, is the temperature sliding button light supposed to come on? as well as the red/blue marking

4)is the fan speed, both button and dot markings supposed to be lit up as well?

i did a search...couldn't find an answer. i tried looking for night pics of 4th gen dashes, but failed to find that as well.

thanks in advance

the answer to all of your questions is:

Yes.

Basically, when you turn your headlights on, NO lights other than your Speedo/Tach/Gas/Temp/Clock come on??

Check ur fuses

You can get the bulbs from honda, but the little plastic sleeves you put over them to make them green, are unavailable from Honda apparently... last I checked (uh, 3 years ago). To make them blue you'd just put a blue tint on them, or go the all famous Blue LED conversion.

I found out that my "Cruise" lights up but not the other 2. There is an electric supply warehouse by my house, and I am going to check with them. That place sells all sorts of LEDs

There's one right by the dead pedal under the dash, and there's one in the upper left corner of the engine bay.

The only light on the cruise that should light up is the green indicating when its active....nothing else should light light up unless the parking or driven lights are on.

yeah that's what they mean.. when you turn on the parking/headlights all the buttons should illuminate, and they're saying that theirs don't.

I replaced all the lights in my heater control .. theres 3 i beleive, i dindt want ot buy dealership lights so bought some 12v radio shack ones and soldered them to the connect opints. When you push one of the buttons on the control it lights green to show its selected, you can see every botton lit up in the same shade as the speedo gauge at night... however, to the left of my steering wheel my cruise/sunroof/dimmer dont light up at all nor do my power windows/locks. :|

I haven't done my radio shack mod to them yet but the power windows.. thats new to me....

I got the ones from the dealer. Be prepared, they are kind of expensive and it sounds like you need a lot of them.

Just wanted to add this on to this old thread for future readers..........the hazard warning light in the center console for 95-96 4th gens lights up. Bulb has a green base instead of a blue base like the dashboard ones. Costs about $3.80 from honda and is pretty impossible to find anywhere else!
