In-dash Cellular Telephone...

I noticed this was an option on some preludes. Anyone have this? I was thinking about getting it but I didn't know if the service or whatnot was still available. Can someone please tell me more about this? Here is the installation guide from Honda Automotive Parts:

Yes there is a cellular network that supports it, but I mean everyone has a cell phone already...

I thought about it, too. It was cool back in the day, but who needs them now. I have an new, original 1994 Brochure, and there are some other cool options in there like the SE rims with red painted inserts. I got jealous so I bought SE Rims and painted the insets Azure Blue...hehe

Well how useful is it really? It's not like you can take it out of the car. I'd rather have a portable cell phone...it's probably cheaper too...

The in-dash phone is undoubtedly analog and likely will not auto-compensate like newer ones for power levels; as such, cell providers don't like using them. You are likely going to spend a lot of money getting a provider or at least will have mediocre service at a normal price.

I've seen these at junkyards quite a bit...

Red SE rims with painted inserts, cellular phone, fog lights, cd changer, and alarm. I have a Belgium 1994 brochure, and they get clear outer bumper lights and a rear windshied with a wiper. There may be more, but I would have to go home and look at my brochures.

I have wanted a rear wiper for over a year. I cannot find the rear glass because the wiper is attached to the glass. I will find one one day.
