I'm trying to complete the final step of my JDM H22 install: getting the suspension back together. I just can't seem to get the shock fork and lower ball joint to line up. If I bolt up the ball joint, I can't line up the shock fork holes. If I bolt up the shock fork, I can't get the ball joint to drop into its hole. Sooooo frustrating, I wanna get the car back on the ground. I'm pretty sure the axles are installed correctly, and seated all the way. Any tips or suggestions?

I'm talking about the castle nut on the very bottom of the suspension, and the long bolt that goes through the damper fork. The forks are on the right side.
Do you have your axles in all the way? You are talking about where the joint goes into the hole at the very bottom? I had problems with mine right there, I just took the axle back out and then put it back in all the way. It was a PITA. good luck
Finally got her on. After strugguling with it for like half an hour, I noticed the CV tripod (the inner one) had slipped out into the boot itself. I pulled the axle back off, rebuilt the inner CV joint (Yucky!!), and got the axle back on ALL the way. The suspension went back together like butter after that!

Dude I had to do the same thing..it took soooooo long....and it's so messy.
What did you use to secure the boot again? Just like a 3" screw clamp thing?

I bought new clamps from Autozone. They were like $3 for a 2-pack. The didn't have a screw, but they were much easier to tighten than the stock ones. They had a little lever you flip over that makes everything nice and tight.
