Cutting thin bar in the front bumper...

I just wanted some opinions and feedback about doing this..If my topic made no sense to u, im talking about the front bar thats in the center of the opening on the bumper. I have a wings west r.s. lip and I have something against that bar, I just think it would look a lot cleaner without it but I was told that my bumper would "sag" if I removed it. (i think thats bs though) Lemme know what you think.

Well I can tell you that on my bumper, all the vertical pieces that run from the middle bar to the bottom of the bumper are broken, and it doesnt look like my bumper is sagging too much... maybe 1/2" at the most, not enough to notice... But tack on the weight of the WW RS lip and you might have an issue.

my vertical bars are broken as well... 1/2 inch sag sounds about right you can tel if you looking right on but with extra weight it will asg more but won't be that noticbable

I'd appreciate that Machine Head

if its a 1/2" that wont be too bad but ne thing more like 1" or so then that would make me not do it. It was just a thought cuz then it'd be a nice big clean opening kinda like the Type R's. I already cut the center of it because i mounted my plate in there ( i hated having it stick out on my bumper)

that does act like a support for the bumper. But I do remeber a luder with a turbo cut it out for the intercooler...worked good.

I remember a silver lude just like this, in Colorado. He had the WWRS kit, I think, and a NICE intercooler right behind the front pieces, and the thin bar was indeed cut. It works, go for it.

I had the pic, but it's on my sister's computer, and she lives out of state. I don't even know if it's on there anymore at all. BUT, there are some people on PO who have impressive amounts of 4th Gen pics, so ask around.
