custom open door indicator

just curious... but how hard would it be to make a custom open door indicator like those seen on accords... how it shows the top of the car outlined, and then when either the doors/trunk open it shows it on the dash..
only problem i see is the differentiating from left and right, but that shouldnt be that big of a problem.. any ideas??

You could get an Accord dash thingy and put it in your car. The just wire it up to the door switches and trunk latch.

My 84 lude had one.

What??? My car has lights on the dash for when the doors or trunk are open. I thought all 4th gens had them...

They are like how you describe, an outline of the car showing which part is open.

Mine has it too. There are red lights to show the trunk and door are opened.

EDIT: They are just the dummy lights like the oil light. They aren't the outline like what you are talking about.

I couldn't say if the UK ludes have it as I had my car shipped over from Japan to the UK.

I'll go take some pics now, but it's twilight out so they may not be great.

BRB!!
