custom exhaust

I'm looking at getting a custom y pipe made for a dual exhaust. I want to get the Apex'i worldsport but is it possible to order just another muffler and not the rest of the piping? I don't want to pay for two cat-back exhausts. If so, what are the expenses of making the pipe and getting the extra muffler?

ps: I have a 92 si if that helps at all.

assuming that you know you wont gain the least bit of power from duals on a 4cyl, i see apexi universals for sale all the time.

Is there a way to have custom piping made that may be a little more restrictive so I can get the same horsepower gains as a single exhaust? I really want dual exhaust for the looks but if I'm not gonna get any hp gains then screw it.

you just want the exhaust.. if you are lookin for a no brand names and cheap, go with the universal mufflers they are great.... One question does it make a difference if you have a aftermarket exhuat and stock pipings...??? and stock headers...

not to mention the extra weight added by additional piping and extra muffler. I agree that 2 mufflers on a 4 banger is odd although s2000 has them.

im sure its not hard to weld your muffler to a hanger on the bracket so you have 1 exhaust and 1 dummy

Talk about rice!

Most cars, even the S2k, dont have dual exhaust. They have dual Mufflers. Single pipe from the Single Header.
Even the V6 Accord doesnt have true dual exhaust, just dual mufflers.
You can only truly have dual exhaust if you have dual pipes from the headers back, including 2 catalytic converters and 2 mufflers.
