Damn honda why couldn't they have thought of cup holders 2 years earlier so us guys with 92-93s dont have stuff flying everywhere when we are drive an eat. Any one figured out a way to handle this problem. I am about a 1/2" away from losing it an haveing a carbon fiber cup holder molded to the passenger side of my center console. Post any solutions u guys have found .

You have to relocate the e-brake if you want to switch to the 94+ style console. This requies a fair amount of knowledge (how to use a welder mainly). You could get a JDM console. . .those have a cupholder in them. There was one on Ebay a few weeks back.

o yeah.... hmmm.. when i looked at my ebrake, there were mounthing whole pre drilled to have in on the left/middle/right and all you would have to do is move it.

Really? I thought the brake handle was tack welded into place. . .you already have a 94 though, right? maybe it's different for 92-3

I feel your pain... not to mention i have a 5 speed and no Power Steering.... Fast food and drive thrus are a I park the car now and go in.... I got used to it, at first i thought something was wrong with my car when the glove compartment couldn't hold anything its just a door to trick you, no arm rest and of course no cup holders....
I feel your pain with the glove door... can't really call it a compartment. At least I got an armrest that doubles as a glove compartment... and a cup holder I think that '95 was the best year... all the things you want, nothing you don't (it was lst year for OBDI)
Okay now I am on my soap box, what the hell was Honda thinking with 1) no center console and 2) w/o a cup holder, damn that makes me mad. I have a '93 and I called all the junk yards and they all told me I would have to find it somewhere else, that most junk yards gut the interior down to the metal! AHHHHHH! So where can I get this JDM part? Do they sell it new? I would be more than happy to drop $200 on a working, fitting center console! Jeesh damn honda engineers they really dropped the buck that time.

I just have gotton a grip of napkins, moved the passenger seat so that the leg support and the ebrake handle hold a 32 oz cup in place... that lets me drive with a spot for the cup... just no fast corners and careful driving or its all over the passenger seat (i made that mistake twice) =(
I have been thinking about getting "Mug buoy's" which are aftermarket deals that motorhomes and boats have often since they are on swivels and hold drinks well.
Also, your 92-93 might not have an airbag like my 92 SI. I was honestly thinking about cuttin a circular whole on top of the dash, over the false glove compartment and then inserting a similar sized tubular plastic insert.
Kind of hard to explain, but I was thinking about it.

You found a JDM one in an American junkyard? You do know that you will have to relocate the e-brake if it is the 94+ USDM console, right?
NO, actually the armrest was an option on '92-'93 ludes, very few had them though. The armrest was about a $200 option through the dealer. Regardless I found the armrest for the 1993 prelude that was on a '93 vtec he had in the yard, I read up on this stuff before I bought, thanks though . I wouldn't have had to search far if I was going to get the armrest for a 94 or up, seeing how I can still get one of those from the dealer .

I just keep one of those egg-carton looking cup holders from Mc Donalds behind the passenger seat. The one that holds four cups is the best. If someone's sitting in the passenger seat, they can hold it. And if no one is there, I just put it on the carpet.
I've been trying to find that same optional center console for my 92, but my interior is that funky 'off-blue' color. Still lookin'...
