Has anyone recorded a CRVTEC (B20 Vtec) swap into a 4th gen? Is this possible with size, is there enough clearance for the hood? Is there any known problems common in hybrid engines? I'm looking for something original and was wondering if anyone knows of anyone who has thought about or completed this swap.
the general rule is that with enough money... anything can be done. I say, if you have the means, go for it. It would make for a nice picture if nothing else.
i think it'd be wack though cus the 2.0 is too weak inside a heavy ass prelude.. my homie has a 92 integra with crvtec running 13's... stock was 14.5's.... 13's with type r cams, aem gears, itr intake manifold, i/e, etc etc

with a set up like that, i think the engine would perform better under trying to run at higher speeds rather than a quarter mile performer, there is a supra with a heavily boosted mr2 motor in it and it a nasty 200+mph beast, i say if u got the cash, go for it and build the block for like at least 1 bar of boost. just my .02

For the price of the motor, mounts, and install, you might as well build one tanked ass H22.
Agreed. That is just too much work to put into a lude.
I think for the price of retrofitting motor mounts and everything else into a lude, you could probably buy a hatchback, throw the CRVTEC in and be very happy with that.
On the other hand, you would have a bigger aftermarket with a b-series motor

That is correct, but rod/stroke ratio isn't everything. Especially not enough to warrant a crazy custom swap. Try to play with the stroke of the H-motor to optimize it a little, such as a custom crank/rods
It might be easier to do in a 3rd gen

im gonna have to agree....it would be way more of a pain in the ass to do that....for minimal if any gains...build up the H22 for that money....or turbo a H23...
hybrid engines...something always goes wrong, trust me, they are fun...but youre always wondering when something is gonna break
