Cruize control stopped workin out of nowhere

hey guys, i noticed the other day that my cruize control wont come on anymore, i checked the fuse under the dash, its fine, anything else that can cause it? its not the clutch switch since i still gtta push the clutch to start the car, could it be the break switch? the CC putton on the left side is pushed, but when i hit the set button the light wont come on and nothing happens.

Any Idea?

its a 92 SI

check the plug under the hood that goes to the CC solenoid thing... i had a wire loose in that plug and it caused the same problem you are having...

Im pretty sure that a vacuum line runs to the control piece under the hood...might want to check that too.
If you can get your hands on the Helms manual is has a very nice flowchart for troubleshooting the cruise control system.

try putting ur foot under your clutch and pulling it toward you then setting the cruise control, if this works then all u have to do is tighten the clutch petal to take some of the play out of it, this is what i did when mine stopped working for a while

If yours SRS light is on and your horn stopped working too... then it is your clock spring/ cable reel in your steering column. That happened to me in my 92 not too long ago.

Do you happen to know how much the clock sprintg/cable reel is and how difficult it was to fix or replace?
I'm having the same problem

I got lucky... I'll explain. I went to www.thehondapartsstore.com and found it. It was listed as $35. I had heard they were about $200! I ordered it, got it for that price, rechecked the page the next day, the price was changed to like $135! I still think that is probably the cheapest and best route. This is something you want to replace with a genuine oem part. It mounts under the steering wheel and it only took my mechanic about 30 minutes to an hour to change. He only charged me $60 to do it. Granted he is an ace honda man and is framiliar with the SRS system plus a friend so he hooked me up. So that was my story.

Good luck with it!

check your brake light switch and brake lights. If the third brake light bulbs are blown your cruise control won't come on.
