Hey all. When I set my cruise control the lights come on. Both the cruise switch light and the green cruise light in the dash comes on - until I hit the clutch or brake pedal. So it "thinks" I'm in cruise but the car decelerates completely. Does anyone know what I should be looking for in this situation? It worked once upon a time, then I noticed no go. The fuse is fine (unless there are more than just the one 7.5 under the dash) and the two vaccum hoses I see are intact (maybe there are more I don't know about). Thanks for the help.

So you're saying cruise control shuts off when you hit the brakes or push in the clutch pedal? Yea that's normal...

Or did you mean that the other indicator on the dash turns on, but cruise control isn't working?

yup, thats it. Lights come on but no cruise.

Thats ****ty, I would check to make sure there arn't any cracks in those hoses. Also, I think there may be a fuse under the hood, but I'm not 100% sure.

Did you ever figure this out? I was working on my brakes and then all of a suddent this started, also I noticed that if i put my foot underneath my gas pedal and pull forward on it it clicks up just like half a mm, but for some reason it sticks and will idle forward very slowly up to almost 40 unless i click the gas forward, dunno if the two are related, but I really hate not having cruise haha

Get the service manual for the car, it could be various things, pedal switches, vacuum leak or even the actuator itself.
