Cruise control installation

How does the cruise control connect to the main vaccum hose? I bought a 1992 Prelude and have always wanted it to be functioning. also the Cruise button doesnt light up. the fuse is good and the electronics are connected.

Simply put, anyone have a flow chart?

Look up an online copy of the service manual (I've seen a few copies in different sites)- it's fairly complex, but doable to add Cruise to a Prelude especially if you have a donor car with all the fittings and mounting bracketry.

If you look online under " 92-96HondaPreludeServiceManual.pdf " you'll find a bittorent file at Miniinova and Torrentreactor that you can DL. It's a 38 meg PDF, and it is the entire service and repair manual from honda for all versions (S, SR/SI, SRV) preludes from 92 to 96.
If it's not in there... I doubt that it exists.

if the manual you have is a haynes or something like that just burn it, you need the factory service manual if you are going to be working on your car yourself, you can download a copy or buy a hardcopy from helmsinc

I think that if he's made it this far, he's figured out that he needs the Factory/Dealrship service manual with schematics/specs and part numbers (with pictures)
But thanks... anyway.

As for the button lighting up, check the bulbs inside the switch. The CC gets vacuum straight from the intake manifold.
