cruise control button light

not the actual on indicator on the physical button, but the illumated "cruise" on the button. mine comes on sometimes and then goes off sometimes. it seems like if i tap the button it'll come on sometimes. it seems like a loose connection to me, i was just curious if it's happened to anyone else before? if so, do you know what's wrong?. i'm at work right now so i can't go pull it apart
thanks

yea its probably a loose connection or a loose bulb. Doesn't happen to me, but I do have a few burned out bulbs that need to be replaced.

Yep. It's pretty easy to replace the bulbs in these switches. Just pop the switch out, then look for a circle in the side of the switch housing. What you see in there is the back of the bulb. Turn it with a flat-headed screwdriver 90 degrees anti-clockwise, and the bulb will drop out. Clean the connection points on the board inside the switch. (Use a cotton bud dipped in something or other.) Then replace the bulb with a new one. (They're like $2 from Honda.)

Hey when I try ordering those things from Honda I always seem to order the wrong bulbs. Sometimes I get blue ones...sometimes they are clear. Can someone tell me the # in the diagram that we need to order for the bulb that illuminates each of the 3 switches?

Why cant you just take out the bulb and take it with you to Honda and tell them to give you one just like it. How hard can that be?

Oh, wow, you can't enter part numbers with capital letters any more.

I have NO (<--- capital letters... let's see) idea.

When I replaced mine, I just checked the colour of the dead bulb and ordered the correct replacement colour. (I think they were both green.)

You can actually customize what type of bulb color you want, because IIRC they're all the same size. I ordered blue, green and neo-wedge before and they were all the same size. So I suppose that each of the switches take the same sized bulbs.
