Crower vs. JDM

i know what I wanna do but i would like some opinions, I want to go with JDM Type S camshafts and Type S valvetrain package, i figure its Honda OEM and there prolly won't be no problems. On the other hand I don't know to much about power increase about crower. I can get Type S pistons and the springs and retainers for about $900, or should i get the Crower there is a groub buy now for stage 2 cams and springs etc. for $900 also... I am debating on what i should do... any suggestions

i would seriously recommend not buying any h22a cams at the moment. everything is too new and not proven.

you have some guys with disappointing dyno figures using crowers, juns. i think i saw one of someone using jun's at hp.com putting out not even 190whp. maybe the midrange is awesome but still not great.

considering you have some people running i/h/e and a vafc getting just passed the 180whp mark.

damn, if only cams could do for h22a's that it does for say b18c's.

wait and see. skunk cams seem promising. i think crowers have been a disappointment so far judging by some dynos.

a friend of mine with a jdm hybrid accord dynoed just over 170whp. he has i/h/e, jdm h22a crower stage 2 with full valvetrain.

Dont' be silly!!! If you're going to build your motor build it! You are not going to see enormous gains from a Type S head and piston package.
Crower rods, JE 12:1 pistons, stage 2 head package!!! Stainless valves, springs, retainers, and some sort of Cam gears!!!
