at a crossroads...

i have a bit of cash that's burning my pockets gentlemen, so i'm going to ask for some opinions from those i trust the most with my car. I'm either going to get wheels and a camber kit or shocks. The wheels I want are the Si ones of course, so if anyone has some laying around with tires not using them, holler at me. Now, with the camber kit, should i go camber all around or just the front? My front is dropped all the way on my ground controls and i'm pretty sure i need it. However, the wheels on the back are butterflying more blatantly. So the question there is if i go with wheels and camber kits, should i go with front camber only or all around? Now, if I decide to go with the shocks, should i get kyb agx for the affordability or the tokico's just because? Alright that's all. Thanks for your insight in advance and sorry about the long post that's longer than my damn life story. Peace guys

you're in a bit of a bind because from your description, you really need both. if your car is slammed, your stock shocks won't last very long. this is from personal experience. they were good up to 135,000 then it looked like someone dropped a pipe bomb down the chamber. so with your car as low as it is, you should get shocks. i would recommend either kyb yellow or tokico blues, as that is what most people ride on and are happy with. personally, i just got the kyb agx shocks because of the time and money constraint, but i'm planning tearing those out again soon and replacing them.

your camber kit however is just as important. unless you have plans to have money burning a hole in your pocket on a constant basis. with the tires butterflied out that bad, it's only a matter of time before the tires wear and even worse, you hit the wrong pothole and snap an axle, etc (i've seen it happen on many a ghetto ride on cut springs, although you said you have the coilovers). if you're dropped THAT low, you might honestly want to think about bringing it back up a bit. is it worth it? unless you live on the autobahn. then i stand corrected.

either way, i say bite the bullet and do both. it'll save you a lot of time trouble and money down the road.

just my $0.02

I just put some new konig wheels on my 93 lude si, so i have the stock si wheels with tires on them and some gorilla lugs that i wouldn't mind giving with the wheels. if you car isn't totalled, e-mail me or post a message on here.
