Crooked steering column

Allright heres the deal my wife backed into my car in the driveway last July. She drilled the left front fender, bumper cover and my wheel. The wheel is fine it just took a gouge out of my tire. I did not notice till the day I put my new fender on and took it for a spin that my steering wheel column was bent to the left. Like my turn signal is hangin low. I have been driving the car since I got it back from the body shop its not harming anything as far as I know but it is just really annoying. Ne one know what might be the possible problem. I mean is it like a tie rod thats bent and made the column go crooked? I am at wits end trying to figure out what to fix. Ne info would be appreciated.
Thanks

There is a locking machanism in the steering column. It locks after you take out the key from ignition and there is slight movement on the steering wheel. I gues when she backed into your car she must have hit the tire forcing it to turn which caused the steering wheel to turn but since it was locked the force bent the steering column. I would assume this is what happened.

I don't know exactly which piece you would have to buy to replace it but you wouldn't have to replace everything or the best thing would be to try to bent it back. Once the steering is locked try twisting it untill it more or less straight. DO it at your own discretion.
