ok this problem just developed a few days ago. i have this oh-so-annoying creaking sound from my passenger side front spring. well it's a coilover system, but still. i had it up on a lift at work for 3 days lubing everything in sight, especially up top where the spring sits in the "perch", but it still came back the next day. now it's really bad. the only other thing i can think of is the bushing finally gave and since it's rubber, it creaks whenever the weight of the car shifts onto that spring (it's that one only).

anyone have any ideas/advice/had this happen to them? also, who makes reliable, yet affordable bushings for the prelude? 92 si.

could also be the ball-joint. a regular replacement part on older cars which includes your 92 lude.

mine is starting to go and i'm replacing it tomorrow. i have the creaking sound especially when i first get my car started.

then again, it could be anyone of the bushings.
