crank sensor?? anybody?? - Honda Prelude Forum

im bout to swap a 95 h23 into a 92 SI with a fvcked engine. a friend of mine who does motor swaps said he had thought newer preludes had a "crank sensor" that makes the swap more difficult. i know nuthing of this can anybody help????

i have a 96 si and i am swapping a jdm h22 from a 95. i have to instal a crankangle sensor in mine because a 95 is obdI and a 96 is obdII. so i'm pretty sure that the 95 doesn't not need one if you have a obdI.

thans redsi. he is going to come over tm and look at it. i didnt think there was one but he had said he did a swap and had troubles because of it so it musta been an obdII that he worked with in the swap. thanx again

i glad i was of some help, my 95 i'm putting into my car now is a 95 jdm h22 so i'm not sure if that's why i have to do it or if because my car is obdII and the engine is obdI. do a search just to make sure

yea i tried a search but didnt really come up with anything helpful. since theres not much about it then im not too worried cuz its obviously not a big problem

well i'm almost sure i had to because my car is obdII, yours is not so there shouldn't be a problem in your application. hope you get your engine in and runnig. i unfortunately am still waiting for my jdm h22a to get wired up to fit my car, i can't wait till it's done
