crank pulley bolt removed!

this is NOT the best way. the best way is to use the powerbilt tool on the crank pulley and put put that much stress on the motor.....

I'll post pics later.

I took the starter off, put vice grips on a pp/fw bolt as tight as i could. This jammed the vice grips against the block so the crank wouldnt move. I then put a 19mm 1/2" drive socket on a breaker bar, then put a 4ft pole over the breaker bar. I then removed it. This works, but it may not be good for the motor in the long run

you know they make a tool and you put in the pulley to hold it still while you torque or break the torque on the bolt. I've seen them for like $30 bucks. You can get one at honda.

hmmm, I didn't know the dealer sold them for that cheap. That would have solved my problem. Oops. My way worked too, just a little more creative and rednecky

You can buy a pulley-puller at advance or online from MAC tools or snap on.. fairly cheap and REALLY helpful!

I don't think Honda sells them for cheap enough to make it worthwhile..

Pulley puller is not the same. Thats just to get it off the shaft.

What I did was stick a flathead screwdriver into the timing hole on the tranny. Used a 1/2" socket wrench on the crank with a breaker bar and literally jumped on it till it broke loose.
