Couple of questions about jdm h22...

When its shipped to you what does it sit on? Is it on like a wooden pallet? The reason i ask is because i was curious if you can do all the work on it (new timing belt, water pump etc.) right after they drop it off. Speaking of which, is there a checklist of everything you need to do before you drop it in?

They usually come on a wooden pallet. It would be easier to do the work on an actual engine stand, but I suppose you could get away with doing it on the pallet.

Here is a (very) comprehensive list of items to replace:

I think most of us that did the swap just had the engine sitting on the ground or hanging on the lift still when we swapped parts.

On another note, you most likely wont have to replace all of those parts. But Its better to replace them with the engine out of the car, then later on on the side of the freeway waiting for a tow truck.
