If anyone can help me with these I'd appreciate it...I'm lost..
Know this first, I recently dropped a JDM h22a into my 93, knowing nothing about engines whatsoever..so try to be specific and take it easy on me
1. I finally got my engine in, and finally got the firing order right. I had to take off ALOT of stuff (sensors, intake manifold, distributor and external coil) from my old engine. Well, after a couple of tries I finally got it to turn over, but theres a problem. My engine will INSTANTLY rev itself up to about 4 grand, and the speedometer goes to about 20 mph when it's in neutral. It revs and goes back down in about 5 second intervals. The check engine light isn't on, and as far as I know the vacuums are all connected the right way, and the wiring harness is connected right. But I could be wrong...any ideas?
2. I had to buy a new hydraulic clutch hose, I put it on exactly like it was, and my clutch goes straight to the floor. But again, this is after ripping the old engine out and putting a new one in. I've been trying to bleed it...but no success, but I could be doing that wrong too I'm not sure. I pump the clutch a few times, and loosen the valve for about two seconds, and tighten it back up. But my clutch isn't getting any stiffer it still goes straight to the floor, and I have to pull it up with my hand...
if u cant do it by hand you will need to buy a air pump to get all the air out of the system, thats your problem even that you have to pull the pedal up by hand that happend to me the first time a did an engine swap on a lude, or just keep on trying by hand u will need a second person, one pulling and pushing the pedal and the other checking the air breather, by lossening it and trying to close it just with your fingers just make sure u have enough liquid,
Well, pretty sure my clutch problem is fixed, that valve on the slave cylinder is a one-way valve so you don't have to tighten and loosen it, you can just keep it loose til the air is all the way out...I actually have pedal now, yay!
And I think my whole rev situation was because of my intake manifold gasket, I kinda used the old one instead of the new one and I guess that's a big no-no. Bought a new one, and put it on...later today I'll see if that fixed the problem...I'm hoping...
Alright, got the gasket on...but now it just revs from like one notch above a grand to two notches below 2 grand...and over and over and over. But it only does it when the engine gets warmed up...any ideas why?
I have a vacuum hose diagram from honda, they're hooked up right
I thins the reason why it is reving like that is because u might need to add more 50/50 coolant in the radiator because i bet u filled the readiator up but did not start the car to warm up and let the coolant purge.... which means that u might need to just add more coolant.. if that does not work try looking inside your idle control valve and check if the little plastic clip inside is broken.

Any ideas that could help?
