Cooling system problem

I ve got 1996 Honda Prelude. It was running good but suddenly the fan has got a strange problem. as long as the car is in the ignition state(engine runnning) the fan won't turn on doesnt matter how hot the car is but as we switch off the engine the fan comes on and switches off automatically as the car cools down. I ve also changed the cooling fan relay but it is still there.
Plz help me....

Engine coolant temperature switch is bad. The one next to the thermostat.

In the short term, if you turn on the A/C the fans should both run. That should keep you out of trouble until you can replace the switch. Just flip on the A/C before the engine starts to overheat and it should cool back down.
