Lately I've noticed that my temp gauge is taking longer to reach the midpoint, sometimes, if its cold enough (high 50s) it will even go back down one notch!
Actually, tonight it was in the 70s and I turned on the AC while driving around town and the temperature gauge went down a notch.
Anybody else seeing similar results from 4bidden's cooling plate?

I don't see why the FM Cooling plate would be doing this. If you look under your hood, it fills in the area that the cooling plate covers. Maybe jeremy's cooling plate is more effective, but I would think it wold be that more effective.

Well, in the 4+ years I've had the car, I've only seen the temperature drop down a notch only 3 times or so, and thats in 40 degree weather with the heater on full blast. I've seen more temperature drops in these past 3 weeks than during the past 4 years
Hmm... I have never seen the temp drop back down a notch. That is weird. But I have a alum radiator and it does take longer to heat up. I can tell because I drive the same path everyday at the same speed and it would heat up at the same points during the drive. Now, the points are different... kind of cool
i've never seen my temp drop. personally i like it to heat up as quick as possible in the winter time cuz im a little wuss who hates cold weather lol. and my heater doesnt crank any hot heat until the temp is at half (which it never goes above)
i dont think its good to drive around at lower than halfway on the temp.. so if it is kicking back down a notch its probably doing more harm than good.. i dunno?
my lude drops a notch all the time. almost everytime i drive. i think it probably drops when my fan kicks on and i dont have the cooling plate. actually it literally takes my car about 10-15 minutes to just get to the first notch. the second notch doesnt come until i drive then it will go back down then back up half way. i have the mugen thermostat, alum radiator with fal fan, ceramic coated pistons, blocked egr, hondata gasket and no coolant going through the manifold.
wow my bars never drop either... so what benifits are there for having your car cool down after it's warmed up and being driven on like a few of you that says it happens.
