Coolant Leak at Exhaust Manifold

What does this mean?

My car (96 Prelude Si) started to over heat on the way home from work yesterday when i stopped at a red light, it cooled off as I started moving again.

When I opened the hood, there was coolant sprayed over the top of the engine and hoses.

Today, I beleive i found the source of the leak, after the engine warms up, there is coolant bubbling from between the engine / exhaust header mating flange. What does this mean? is it a gasket replacement or something more serious?

I checked the oil and see no water in the oil from the dip stick.

Definitely seems like it would be a gasket replacement in my non-expert opinion. If you're getting coolant that far up into the head and out the exhaust, its probably escaping through a faulty gasket...hopefully no warping to the head. Good luck.

More than likely that coolant bubbling up by the exhaust is just some coolant left over form being sprayed yesterday...were you able to detemine why the car overheated (low coolant, fan not working, etc.) remember just because there is no water in the oil doesn't mean that the head gasket isn't blown. The best way to tell is to take off the radiator cap, and let the egine warm up and thermostat open....if you see a steady stream of air bubbles on top of your coolant, chances are you head gasket is blown.

Clean the engine, start it up and look for leaks rather than reading internet guesses.
