console making creeking noise...

My console on my 93 VTEC makes a creeking noise when I turn, accelerate, decelerate, or even if Im just driving normal, kind-of gets on my nerves. Does anyone have this same problem. How do I fix, or do i just deal with it.

if you bought a used car, like I did.. you can open it all up and check if it has all the screws and they are properly tightened... my center console(the whole center + stereo/hvac) was being held by only 2 damn screws!! damn, some people are morons, this is got to be my last used car... hahahaha

Ive got the same damn problem in my 93 si! thats sh!t does piss me off! i notice it does it more in the cold...like now in the winter. my car just makes all kinds of squeaks and creaks now that its cold. when i first got it in the spring, it was so cool cuz it had no annoying interior rattles and stuff. now that its winter, i dont know whats going on with the interior but it feels so cheap now. before it felt so nice and luxurious. cant wait for spring and summer to roll around! i think lowering it and 35 series tires dont help matters either.

you can get a silicon spray. apply a light layer with a cloth to the rubbing panels, and it should quiet them. I am not sure where you can get this stuff though, I got mine at a dealer.

most cars start to have squeeks after time. i guess you can try to track it down but for me it seems as soon as i get rid of one another comes up.

The Prelude is made of a lot of plastic which will squeak after time. Get a good stereo, and you won't notice the squeaks.

My console used to rattle... I finally found that it had a small crack in it. Well, took the console out, and loaded on some epoxy... 10 minutes later... solid as a rock, and no more rattling.

I have the problem, but im not sure what you really mean like mine will shake, but not make noise like its falling apart..
check the screws under your steering wheel i tighten those and it was ok for me after that.

taking it all apart is the only way to really find out what's going on.
