Confusing JRSC Ad

So im dropping some kids off at the pool, flipping through my April '02 SCC and I stumble upon this ad.

http://64.167.70.51/pics/jrad.jpg
(click the link, its a freaking huge ass pic)

On closer inspection of the upper left hand corner..

Can it be? a SC on an h23?
This is a 4th gen only motor. Just what the hell is going on over at JR?

thats interesting. . .

I can understand Jackson Racing, but all the better if they made one for the h23.

Ya'll sure that's not a non-vtec B series engine? Like a B18 or a B20 (Integra LS and CRV motors, respectivley)

well with the picture of the ad it also says "prelude" so i would say its a fair assumption to think its an h23 :0

It also says "Focus", but I'm not assuming it's a Focus motor (OK, well, obviously it isn't). They could be referring to the 5th gen kit. Even if they were, a pic of one on an H23 would indicate they were at least tinkering with it. I'm still not convinced that it's an H23 or a B series. . .never really looked at either one really hard, so I dont know what the features of each are.

Don't think it's a B18C (GSR). . .dosn't say DOHC VTEC on the valve cover. Could be a B18B though (LS)

It's an H23. The alternator on B-series motors are not up front like that.

Is that A/C power steering problem with the 5th gen JRSC as well?

They did one here at a honda dealership...I'm pretty sure the A/C worked...but there was no way to run the power steering belt without rubbing. There's just no room down there

why...it's an ad for Jackson Racing's Super Charger.

That picture has been around for a while now, I think where it says Prelude shipping now, they mean the 5th Gen. But then again, they do have their heads so far up their asses there they probably don't know what the hell they mean. No JRSC for the H23.
