computer diagnostics

anyone have there laptop hooked up to there car?? like in the fast ad the furious. i recently got a new sony viao laptop and would like to run an on-board diagnostic center on it, but i dont know what i need or what programs i need to buy. and how would it plug into the car??

Well. If you have a need to run a fully programmable stand alone, by all means, check out Hondata, they're a great company. If you're going for show, go for it. Unless you have the mods / money to go that route, it's not something I'd personally recommend; but if it's just something you want to do, go for it.
