Compression test and general maintenence ?'s

I have a 93 Si with a JDM F22B in it. I over-revved (>8k) at the strip when i missed 4th and went into 2nd at about 85 mph. The car seems to be running okay, it looks to be running lean from the white tips of the spark plugs. its quick, no noticeable problems, just a little valve tap, but thats normal. i am getting ready to do a clutch in the next week (hopefully with the help of Tommy a.k.a. jtcdudeman). I am also going to try and put the H23 hondata IM gasket on. My question is, would it be a bad idea to do a compression test to see if anything was messed up with the over-revving and just to see if i need to adjust the valves?

Thanks,
Jonathan

There's never anything wrong with doing a compression test. Better safe than sorry. Although, you say there's no noticeable change since the over-rev so who knows. I'd do it anyway though.
