im going to be fitting an accord type R cylinder head to my lude the thing is that the accord type R comes with 11:1 compression and my lude has 10:1.

how much does 1 point of compression equal in horsepower

the head won't up your compression ratio, it just has the type-s cams and maybe the different valve angles? or something? someone correct me on this. o yea and the better intake manifold. your cr shoudl still be 10:1

The bump in compression comes from the pistons in the ATR H22. As for the power, it is usually the ballpark rule that in an N/A application, you can expect ~10hp at the flywheel for every one-point bump in the compression ratio.

i don't think i'll go to the trouble of fitting type s pistons then, not for only 10 hp anyway

It's a 10 hp increase for compression, but when you start adding other mods the benifits will be greater (cams, intake, exhaust, tuning etc)
