cold water temp

today i let my car warm up for about 15 mins and when i checked on it the temp gague didnt move at all...i drove around very light on the car and it still stayed pinned where it was...after about 30 mins of driving i decided to see if the gauge is bad so i hit it and i went into VTEC and i know that a cold motor wont hit VTEC so i dont know if its the gauge thats bad or something else...i have a mugen low temp t-stat but i have never had a problem with it...any ideas to what is wrong? also is it bad to drive if the gauge is still cold after 30 mins or so of warming up?

what is it reading exactly? the 4th gen gauges are not really precise when it comes to the temp gauge. mine will sometimes go to the middle then drop back down to the next lowest reading. i think it is just the gauge.

To check wether the engine is actually hot is to drive around for 15 mins, pull over, pop the bonnet (hood) and touch the top and bottom radiator hoses. If they hot then it's just the guage..

what pdunz said, if that doesn't work, and you're willing to put fourth the effort, then you could remove your thermostat and then see if it warms, just a though.
