coil overs

if i get coil overs would i have to remove the springs i have in now? or can i use the 2 at the same time? i have no clue about coil overs so any help would be good...i need to get my front up about 1 inch so i figure coilovers will do the job...how much would a good set cost?

Coilovers replace the stock springs. I hear GC's are nice. I just picked up a set for 350 shipped.

If you want to raise your car up from the sportline height I would suggest the GC's. They use Eibach springs and won't stretch your bank that far.

so coilovers have springs in them? could i buy a cheap brand on ebay and put my springs i have in there now? if i get the maxspeed off ebay will i run into any problems down the line with them?

I personally wouldn't do it. I know the springs are matched to the perch by GC. If you buy the maxspeed coilovers there is the chance that the spring won't match up to the perch and could mess up your suspension.

I highly advise you don't mix/match parts. Isn't it worth the extra green to have piece of mind?

yeah i guess i wont be mix and matching but also i dont need the rears...would i be able to buy the fronts alone? the site says 329 for a set....set as it front/rear alone or 4 all together?

$329 = 4 GC coilovers.

I have never heard of anyone getting just two. I guess you could call around and ask. You can even call GC at 530-677-8600
